Changing Bodicote

It’s not just the Gladman development that threatens the village, its your own Council too.

Our District Council have agreed to cut the village parish in half – giving them even more land for development.

In 2013 it was decided to change nearly half of the Parish of Bodicote into Banbury to allow the town to build its allocation of new homes. This decision was agreed, but the actual change was deferred to April, 2016 when the local elections take place (probably in an attempt to bury the news).

The current new homes, on Longford Park, were all marketed as ‘Bodicote’ to allow a premium sale price. In April 2016, the land becomes part of Banbury.

To date, Bodicote at Risk is unaware of any consultation with the Parish to discuss moving the Salt Way site into Banbury.
